From the skillful and conscientious vinification of 100% pure Lagrein grapes. The origin is the classic one of the Gries area in the province of Bolzano. Harvest involves fermentation in stainless steel with maceration on the skins for 15 days. Malolactic fermentation and maturation in French Barrique and Tonneaux for 24 months (1/3 new) max. 28°C. Aging takes place for at least 24 months during which the wine rests in the cellar.
Lagrein Praepositus Riserva DOC Abbazia di Novacella’s features
An intense ruby red color with garnet hues. The bouquet on the nose is characterized by cherry, wild berries jam and spices. Taste is expressed with a marked balsamic trace and it is intense, velvety and persistent.
