The Chianti Classico Riserva BIO DOCG of Badia a Coltibuono comes from the vinification of Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Ciliegiolo and Colorino grapes. The territory is that of Monti in Chianti, the nerve center of the production of this wine: here in fact there are the vineyards of the Stucchi family, that since 1846 resides in the Romanesque structure of Badia a Coltibuono using the surrounding land to produce a quality wine respecting tradition but also nature: the wines of Cantina Badia a Coltibuono have in fact the Certification of Organic wines. After the manual harvesting, with the careful selection of the most favorable exposures, we proceed with the natural fermentation through autochthonous yeasts and a maceration on the skins of about 3 weeks. For 24 months then the wine remains in French and Austrian oak barrels; finally there is the aging in bottle for 4 months.
