Wine description
The Collavini winery produces this refined 100% pure Chardonnay wine. The grapes come from the lands of San Floriano del Collio, Cormôns and Gorizia. The vines are all raised within the farm and are harvested in September with reference to the degree of ripeness. The vinification involves the maceration of the must on the skins at 12ºC for 12-16 hours, followed by fermentation in steel at controlled temperature; the aging continues until complete maturation.
Characteristics of this Chardonnay Doc
The organoleptic examination shows a slightly straw yellow color. The bouquet is floral with flavors of mugwort and exotic fruit. The taste in the mouth is fresh, aromatic and well balanced.
Serving suggestions tasting this white wine
An aperitif wine, which also goes well with fish dishes, eggs, lobster, white meat and meat pate. In Friulian cuisine, it is an excellent wine to accompany gnocchi with ricotta and spices. The optimal serving temperature is 8°C in a high and wide glass.
