The red wine Calabrone represents the cultural richness of the Bastianich winery and the elevation to the higher representation of the territory trough the wine. The Calabrone wine is a “Reserve” wine so it is distributed only if there is an excellent harvest, with mite September and October when a part of the harvest has to wither. As for the Amarone, the withering time is useful for enrich the tastes and to soft the natural tannins charge of the bunches. This fantastic wine is able to exalt the great concentration and the balance between softness and the tannin together with the clearness and freshness of the wine itself. It is majestic, elegant and refined, persuasive and lively harmonic. According to the critics, this is an excellent wine. It is composed by 80% of Refosco, 10% of Schioppettino, and finally 10% of Merlot.
