The vinification of 100% Sangiovese grapes. The origin of the grapes comes from vineyards cultivated in the homonymous Estate of our property south west of Montalcino, on the historical side of Camigliano. Vinification involves alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28ºC. Maceration on the skins for about 20 days. The maturation takes place for 5 years of which at least 24 months in Slavonian oak barrels of 25/30 hectoliters. The aging takes place for 12 months in bottle.
Characteristics of this Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG
The appearance is intense ruby red to the eye. The aroma comes to the nose with hints of raspberry, red fruits and a beautiful violet floral, combined with touches of spices and iodine. The taste in the mouth the approach with the palate is harmonious and soft, mature and rich, leaving a glimpse of room for improvement and great ability to evolve again.
Suggested pairings tasting this Tuscan wine
An important and full-bodied wine that needs consistent dishes, in particular to be paired with second courses of meat or with mature cheeses, such as with a 30-month-old truffled Tuscan pecorino cheese with pumpkin mustard. The optimal serving temperature is 16ºC.
