This wine is the result of the expression of the most refined variety of Friuli. 100% Sauvignon, that includes excellent features and unique taste. Livio Felluga winery produces this sensational wine that praises the DOC denomination. The vineyards are cultivated on lands characterized by marls and sandstones of Eocenic origin. This variety has French origins and it seems that it was introduced in Friuli during the Hapsburg domination. These grapes create a fresh wine characterized by unique perfume that underline hints of exotic fruits, yellow pepper, tomato leaves and mint. The wine-making considers the elimination of stalks and a brief period of maceration. After the soft pressing, the must is clarified through static decanting. The fermentation is managed in steel containers at controlled temperature. It is followed by 6 months aging on lees, in steel. After the bottling, the wine is stocked for two months in thermo-conditioned rooms.
Features of the white wine “Sauvignon”
