The Sauvignon of the Villano Agricultural Company is a renowned and refined white wine with the characteristic varietal aroma of elderberry, grapefruit and white peach, enhanced by the work in the cellar in steel, fresh and with a full, structured flavor, it is a wine of great personality, ideal to be served with shellfish, grilled fish and pasta dishes. The Sauvignon DOC from Villano boasts an important honor which sees it 1st place in the world competition of Sauvignon. The denomination is the DOC one of the eastern hills of Friuli and the vineyards are raised on mainly calcareous soil with abundant presence of marl. The exposure of the vineyards is towards the North East and 100% Sauvignon grapes are used for its production. All the vineyards are harvested the first days of September, at the right level of ripeness, and the production reaches 65 quintals per hectare of vineyard soil.
Characteristics of Sauvignon DOC
The organoleptic examination allows us to taste a wine with a straw yellow color, brilliant with gold reflections. The nose is expressed with beautiful citrus notes, pink grapefruit stands out and fine notes of elderberry and white peach are very pronounced. The Flavor is warm and voluminous. The flavor is good and the fruit has a long, slightly mushy back.

The Sauvignon di villano goes perfectly with fish and vegetable dishes, delicate, fresh and light dishes are the perfect match. It should be served cool, at 12°C in tall and wide glass.
