Wine description
Salento IGP "Penso!" is produced with autochthonous Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera grapes with the addition of an international grape such as Merlot. The harvest, strictly manual, is done in late September; fermentation in steel and aging in large French oak barrels before being bottled.
Characteristics of this Apulian wine
The wine has a bright red color with garnet reflections ; on the nose there are hints of red fruits while on the finish there are vanilla and bitter cocoa. The mouthfeel is full-bodied, soft and structured, with a bitterish aftertaste
Recommended pairings tasting this Apulian wine
Excellent with tasty sauces, grilled meats and aged cheeses. To be served at a temperature of 16-18 ºC in a fairly large glass.
