This prestigious and luxury wine of the Mediterranea company called “il Barone” is a red wine very bodied and structured perfect to be matched with the great courses of the Italian tradition. It is produced in Salento in the Puglia region. The grapes used are cultivated on calcareous soils of karst origins rich of iron and aluminum which is the main characteristic of the red ground of Salento which give to the territory a great warmness. The harvest has to ferment under temperature control in specific vats. The maceration lasts 7-10 days. Then the grapes are pressed and stocked in steel tanks for the malolactic fermentation.
