This traditional wine by Maculan is produced with 100% Marzemino grapes, cultivated in the area of Cornorotto, in the district of Fara Vicentino. In this area the volcanic hills are characterized by soils full of tuff. The grapes are left in the vineyard one week more, in order to reach the right level of over-maturation and to increase the sugar content of the grapes. The fermentation in steel is followed by the aging, managed in steel to, for six months, to preserve perfumes and freshness.
Features of the red wine “Marzemino”
This wine shows an intense and shiny ruby red colour. Its fruity perfume recalls mature red fruits and the taste, intense and structured, appears balanced and characterized by a long aromatic persistence.
Recommended food pairings while tasting this wine by Maculan
Great with main dishes dressed with game sauce, roasted or grilled meat. It has to be served at 16°C in a high, wide wine glass that allows the concentration of the perfumes.
