The vineyards come from the “I PIANETI” hilly area with a prestigious exposition. This wine is limited produced because is the result of the combination of a special care for the territory, and the precision in the production of this wonderful product. This wine is made by Corvina Veronese 70%, Rondinella 25% and Molinara 5% grapes. The wine making process occurs in Slavonia oak barrels of 65hl for 15 months. To produce this wine the Tommasi winery uses an old vineyard where there is a sensational warm and enveloping climate and fruity sensations. The blend ferments for 9 days in steel and lately they re-ferment on Amarone peels.
Characteristics of the Valpolicella Ripasso I Pianeti DOC
It has an intense ruby red color. The smell is enveloping and complex, with fruity aromas together with spicy and floral hints. The taste is structured, full, soft and balanced.

It is perfect with white and red meats and aged cheeses. It is also very good with game and the capon cooked in the Veneto way. It must be served at 18°C in a high and wide wine glass.
