Garombello is a red wine made from Nebbiolo grapes produced by Marziano Abbona Winery: it is a fresh and elegant wine with great drinkability. After harvesting the grapes, destemming and pressing take place with subsequent spontaneous alcoholic fermentation thanks to indigenous yeasts. As is standard practice for red winemaking, fermentation takes place in contact with the steel skins, at a controlled temperature of 28°C and for approximately 16 days. This is followed by malolactics and finally filtration, bottling and rest in the bottle for a month.
Characteristics of this Piedmont wine
It has a ruby red color. The olfactory profile recalls floral notes of purple and fruity notes of berries. The tannins are very present on the palate, although not aggressive, with great freshness and elegance.
Recommended pairings with this red wine
Try it with stewed red meat, grilled meats, mushroom risotto, lamb, and dishes made with medium-aged cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 16-18°C.
