Vinified by the refined cellar Capezzana Of Tuscany steel. Capezzana's Barco Reale di Carmignano DOC is a red whose maturation takes place in large Allier barrels for about a year and which is revealed in the glass with freshness and intensity.A surprising wine for the excellent relationship between quality and price, whose name derives from the ancient Medici property whose borders were surrounded by the "wall of the Barco Reale", more than 30 miles long. The blend is made up of 70% Sangiovese grapes, 15% Sangiovese grapes Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Cabernet Franc and finally 10% Canaiolo grapes. The production area is that of Carmignano Prato in Tuscany. The harvest takes place for the Sangiovese from mid-September, for the Cabernet in the first half of October. The vinification involves the use of steel tanks where the grapes remain for 7 days in alcoholic fermentation followed by another 8 days of maceration on the skins before racking, at a controlled temperature of 26° C. Malolactic fermentation is also carried out steel.
Characteristics of the Barco Reale DOC wine
On organoleptic examination this wine shows a deep ruby red color tending towards purplish. The perfume is full of expressions on the nose with intense notes, and characterized by beautiful fruity memories and light oak notes. The taste on the palate is soft, voluminous, well defined by a tannic texture that balances its freshness. It closes with a finish on the fruit, with good persistence.

Throughout the meal, it goes well with rich first courses and meat-based second courses. It has to be served at 18°C in a large wine glass which favors oxygenation.
