A wine characterized by intense hints of red fruit accompanied by a pleasant flavor for a soft Amarone della Valpolicella. The vines used for its vinification are those of Corvina for 80% and Rondinella for 20%. The origin of the grapes is that of the Valpolicella area in Veneto, north of Verona. Santi's Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG "Santico", ages for a year in barriques and then is left to rest in large barrels. It is a rich wine, capable of conquering even the most refined palates; in fact, with every sip, aromas and body express themselves powerfully and refer to the well-suited native territory.

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Santico DOCG Santi

A ruby red colour with violet reflections. The nose is intense and complex; it is expressed with notes of sour cherry jam, dark chocolate, tobacco, sweet spices and aromatic herbs. The taste on the palate is soft, warm, with a velvety tannic texture and a long persistence.

Suggested food pairings while tasting this Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Santico DOCG Santi

An excellent wine with red meat main courses, in particular with stewed wild boar, jugged hare and Toma cheese. The optimal serving temperature is 16°C in a large glass which favors oxygenation.
