The Amarone of the Zenato winery is a sturcutred, complex, elegant and velvety wine. It is produced with the Grapes cultivated in the Valpolicella in the Sant’Ambrogio hamlet. It is made with 80% of Corvina, 10% of Rondinella and 10% of Oseleta and Croatina grapes. The exposition is South-east and South-west at 300-350 meters above the sea level. The soil is cretaceous with clay and stones. The cultivation method is the Guyot with a density of 5000 trees per hectare with an average age of 15-20. The profit is 80 quintals per hectare and the grape harvest takes place manually from September to October. There is a resting period of 3-4 months in boxes for the right wither period. The wine is refined in oak barrels for 36 months.
Characteristics of the Amarone Classico DOCG from Veneto
It has a garnet color especially when aged. The smell is elegant, spicy with cherry, black cherry, dry fruits and prune aromas. The taste is round, velvety, enveloping and soft.

It is perfect with roasted meats, game, aged cheeses or as meditation wine. It must be served at 18°C and it must rest for one hour before being drunk.
