TENUTE GIROLAMO
In the heart of Valle d'Itria, an iconic place in Apulia located between Bari and the provinces of Brindisi and Taranto, the roots of the Tenute Girolamo winery are sunk. It was 2001 when Michele Girolamo chose to leave the frenetic pace of Milan to return to his birthplace: he thus began to lay the foundations of what would become the family business, directly involving his son Piero. Thanks to the help of an oenologist and unceasing work, Tenute Girolamo was born in 2006: Michele returned to Milan, leaving the future of the company in the hands of Piero, who took over the reins of the winery in the wake of his father's teachings and winking at the most advanced technologies. To date, Tenute Girolamo boasts around 40 hectares of vineyards: note the peculiar choice of flanking the more traditional Apulian vines such as Aglianico, Negroamaro, Primitivo and Verdeca with more international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Merlot.
