Wine description
This organic white wine from Puglia, produced by Viglione Winery, is made from Verdeca grapes grown in the company's vineyards in Laterza, Taranto: the soil is stony and calcareous, which gives it a distinctive mineral note on the palate. Harvesting takes place in the second half of September and is done mechanically: alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel, as does ageing.
Characteristics of this Apulian wine
It has a straw yellow colour with golden hues. The nose is dominated by herbaceous and citrus notes, while the palate is striking for its good minerality and freshness.
Recommended pairings with this white wine
Perfect with fish dishes: appetisers, pasta with shellfish and molluscs, fried and grilled dishes. Serve at a temperature of 8°C.
