Wine description

This organic red wine from the Tenuta Viglione Winery in Puglia is made from a blend of Nero di Troia and Primitivo grapes. The vineyards are located in the characteristic Murgia region of Puglia, near Santeramo in Colle: they face south-west, at an altitude of 450 metres, and the soil is stony with a good amount of limestone. The grapes are harvested mechanically towards the end of September, followed by alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks and ageing first in large barrels and then in steel tanks.

Characteristics of this organic red wine from Puglia

It has a garnet red colour with violet reflections, while the bouquet is mainly fruity, reminiscent of red fruits but also spices and vanilla. On the palate, it is full-bodied but smooth, with a pleasantly persistent taste.
