From a blend of Syrah and Nero d'Avola grapes, this red wine from the Sicilian Cusumano winery is born: while Syrah adds complexity, Nero d'Avola brings structure and power. The vineyards are over 10 years old and are located on compact, clayey hilly terrain at an altitude of 250 m near the Presti e Pagni estate, in the hills of Monreale. After careful manual harvesting, the skins are then destemmed and cold macerated in the must for 2 days, at a temperature of 7°C. This is followed by alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in steel. The final refinement phase takes place in steel for 6 months and 20% in large oak barrels for 2 months.

It has a deep ruby red color with very deep reflections. The olfactory notes are intense and recall ripe berries, cherry, spices and licorice. On the palate it is powerful, well-structured and with powerful tannins.

Excellent with meat and game dishes such as grilled, braised, stewed but also baked pasta and risottos. Serve at a temperature of 16-18°C.
