This Sicilian rosé wine from the Pellegrino wine cellar encapsulates all its Mediterranean character in its name: Albaria is in fact a Sicilian dialect expression describing an idyllic situation given by the sunrise over a seascape, where the calm of the place itself is reflected in the sea; immediately the characteristic scenery of the Sicilian Saline, the place where this rosé wine was born, comes to mind. The Frappato grapes are used in purity and are grown on the clay soil, rich in minerals, located 200 m above sea level. Harvesting takes place in the third ten days of September and following hand picking of the grapes, vinification by reduction through soft pressing and long fermentation is carried out. Ageing takes place in steel for 4 months.
Characteristics of this Sicilian rosé wine
On organoleptic examination it has a very delicate powder pink colour; hints of wild strawberries, white flowers and almonds create a rich bouquet, while on the palate it is fresh, slightly mineral and with a pleasantly savoury finish.
