This great prosecco,which is the main product of the Zardetto winery, born forty years ago by the founder of the maison, Pino Zardetto. So Pino called his first prosecco Refosso, as the canal that surrounded the old Conegliano where there was the ancient wall. It is the gift to his community. The denomination is Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG and it is a millesimato produced with 100% Glera grapes. The vineyards are located in the hilly area of the DOCG Conegliano Valdobbiadene in the Feletto, Ogliano and Carpesica hamlets. The manual grape harvest takes place in the first half of September.
Characteristics of the Refosso DOCG wine from Zardetto winery
It has a bright straw yellow color with a fine and persistent perlage. The smell is fresh with herbs aromas with some warm bread crust hints. The taste is wide and round. It has fruity aromas all perfectly mixed. The persistence is soft and prolonged.
Suggested pairings with the Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG
The prosecco Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG Refosso of Zardetto has to be served at 7°C in wide white wine glasses and if matched with light courses it has to be served at 9°C. It is perfect with grilled vegetables flavored with parsley and oil.
