The mill from which it takes its name is the “Borgo del Molìn” which was built in the Seventieth century by the Repubblic of Venice by the Lady of Conegliano. It is one of the most important and authentic proof from the agrarian past of the hamlet, and it is part of the historic memory. But it is also the child memory of Fabio Zardetto who in that mill passed its childhood with the Granma who helped in the grinding of the grain and with this Prosecco he wanted to honor the hard work of the Conegliano people of all centuries. The Millesimato Molìn is produced by 100% Glera grapes which all come from the Santo Stefano Valdobbiadene and San Pietro di Feletto areas in the core of the DOCG. The grape harvest takes place in the first half of September.
Characteristics of the Molìn DOCG from Zardetto winery
It has a bright straw yellow color, it is limpid and shining too. The perlage is fine, persistent, and it produces a creamy foam. The smell is delicate of yellow and exotic fruits. The taste is sapid, round and velvety. It is perfect the balance between the freshness and fruity aromas.
