This Prosecco Superiore di Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG is sensational and it is very connected with the origins hamlets. The very connected relation is between the Serenissima and Conegliano: close to the mill of the hamlet there is an ancient warehouse once very used by the merchants. This wine is a gift for them who were very evaluator of this prosecco of Zardetto. It is a millesimato wine produced by 100% Glera grapes located in the Santa Maria di Felletto area in the oriental side of the DOCG Conegliano Valdobbiadene. The grape harvest takes place at the beginning of September.
Characteristics of the Fondego of Zardetto
It has a bright straw yellow color with a fine and persistent perlage with a prestigious aromatic component as a great DOCG sparkling wine. The smell is complex with some white and yellow fruity aromas such as peach, apricot and pineapple. It envelops the taste with glazed almonds. The taste is round with a soft sapid taste thanks to the perlage.
Suggested pairings with the prosecco Dry Fondego
The sugar degree lightly elevated of 20g/l is perfect to match this wine with creamy and soft dessert such as creams and jams. It is perfect also with grilled meat, such as chicken and fish. It has to be served at 8°C in high and tapered wine glasses.
