This wine has the name of the homonymous grape, a particular variety of Moscato Giallo which in South Tyrolean language has always been called Pfefferer. This is probably due to its spicy aroma, since in German Pfeffer means pepper. Made from the skilful vinification of Moscato Giallo grapes, its origin falls in Alto Adige where vineyards are located on gravelly and sandy soils. Vinification involves controlled fermentation at 18°C and aging on the lees for a few months.
