Wine list | Lagrein |
A fine wine from the Colterenzio winery which is the result of the vinification of 100% pure Lagrein grapes. Its origin is linked to the South Tyrol area with moraine-alluvial soils and deep sandy substrates. Vinification involves 8 days of fermentation on the skins in steel followed by the malolactic fermentation. Aged a few months in concrete tanks and large wooden barrels.
Lagrein Colterenzio’s features
An intense garnet red appearance with violet reflections. Perfume expresses beautiful notes of violet, black berries, hints of chocolate and intense spicy aromas. Taste on the palate is powerful, characterized by a tannic texture of good structure and the typical acidity of the grape. Aromas of berries and cherries outline the body up to the finish, of good persistence.
Suggested food pairings while tasting this Lagrein Colterenzio
A very versatile wine, excellent when in combination with South Tyrolean cuisine: speck and cured meats but above all roast meats and game. The optimal serving temperature is 14 ° C in a large glass. The alcohol content reached is 13% Vol.
