This red wine from Petilia Winery is made from pure Aglianico grapes from the vineyards of Taurasi and Paternopoli: here the soils are clayey and enjoy good southeastern exposure as well as an altitude of 450 m above sea level. The grapes harvested between the end of October and the beginning of November undergo the classic red vinification process with a long maceration with the skins at a controlled temperature; they are then refined in barriques and tonneaux for a period of about 12 months.
Characteristics of this wine from Campania
The organoleptic examination shows a very intense ruby red colour and a persistent bouquet of violets and red fruits such as cherries and wild strawberries. On the palate there is a great structure as well as a good balance between the hints of red fruits and those of spices.
