The Tuscany winery Banfi has the DOC Bolgheri certification. The Aska Bolgheri DOC Banfi is made with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes. There is the fermentation of the grapes in steel tanks under temperature control for 12-14 days. It follows the malolactic fermentation and then the wine is refined for 10 days in wood and it ends its process in bottle.
Characteristics of the Bolgheri Aska DOC wine
It has an intense ruby red color with purple reflections quite bright and lively. The smell is wide, intense with currant, blueberry and prune’s jam aromas perfect with the tobacco and licorice hints. It has a powerful structure, full, soft with elegant tannins and a very persistent end.
Suggested pairings with this Bolgheri
It is perfect with game, soft medium-aged cheeses. It must be served at 18°C in a wide wine glass.
