Alcamo Classico praises the DOC denomination. Its version “Vigna Casalj” by Rapitalà is produced with 100% Catarratto grapes. This wine represents the history of the cellar. A document dated 1340 tells about a quarrel in front of the king regarding the possession of a desired feud called “Casalj Rabitallavi”: this was the original name of Rapitalà estate, 225 hectares around Camporeale, where the lands reaches 600 meters elevation. The top of the mountain that dominates the estate hosts the vineyards of Catarratto that produce Casalj.

Light gold yellow colour enriched by perfumes characterized by the typical “aging aromas”, recalling sage, tomato leaves and caper bush. Its taste is enchanting, fresh, mineral and round as the sun that dominates these lands, where Catarratto gives its best expressions.
