Wine list | Pinot Nero |
A wine that represents the innovation capacity of the San Felo winery. The label contains all the knowledge of the 100% pure Pinot Noir grape variety. Bred within the company, in Tuscany. The harvest foresees that the grapes, reached a perfect phenolic ripeness and after repeated tastings, are harvested in the first week of September. The grapes are harvested manually, selected and placed in small batches of 3 quintals. The vinification foresees that the grapes once arrived in the cellar remain in the collection tanks where they will perform alcoholic fermentation for about a week, followed by manual fulling twice a day. Aging develops once the skins are separated from the wine, the latter is transferred to French oak barrels for 18-24 months; during this period it is regularly subjected to batonnage. After a slight filtration, it is aged in bottle for a further 12 months.
Features of this red wine
