Shumè Bianco BIO is an organic white wine made from a blend of Sicilian white grapes grown in high-altitude vineyards, around 700 meters above sea level, on the Santa Cristina Gela estates. The cool, breezy environment of the Sicilian hills helps maintain acidity and aromatic fragrance. After manual harvesting, the grapes are subjected to soft pressing and temperature-controlled steel fermentation, with the aim of preserving fruit purity and varietal identity. Refinement continues in steel tanks, followed by a short rest in the bottle before marketing
Characteristics of this Sicilian wine
It has a bright straw yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose it expresses fresh and immediate aromas, with notes of white flowers, citrus and light-fleshed fruit, accompanied by a mineral hint typical of high-altitude wines. On the palate it is lively, flowing and savoury, with good freshness and a clean and slightly citrusy finish that recalls the territory of origin.
Recommended pairings with this Sicilian white wine
It is an extremely versatile wine, ideal as an aperitif and perfect with seafood appetizers, shellfish and seafood. It also pairs well with light first courses, summer salads, grilled vegetables, and baked or grilled fish, thanks to its freshness and distinct saltiness. Serve at 8-10°C.
