The Etna Rosato Contrada Santo Spirito DOC BIO from the Baglio di Pianetto winery is made from Nerello Mascalese grapes grown organically on the northern slope of Etna, in the Contrada Santo Spirito, in the Passopisciaro area. The vineyards are located between 800 and 850 meters above sea level on sandy soils of volcanic origin, particularly rich in minerals. Harvesting is done manually, followed by soft pressing and temperature-controlled steel fermentation. The aging process continues in steel tanks on the fine yeasts before being bottled, preserving the freshness and elegance of the wine.
Characteristics of this Sicilian wine
It appears with a bright pale pink color. On the nose it expresses delicate scents of small red fruits, pomegranate, wild strawberries and citrus fruits, accompanied by light floral and mineral notes. On the palate it is fresh, savoury and harmonious, with a pleasant mineral tension typical of Etna wines and a persistent, elegant and fragrant finish.
Recommended pairings with this Sicilian rosé wine
This organic Etna Rosé pairs very well with seafood appetizers, shellfish, fish tartare, sushi, and Mediterranean first courses. Also excellent with white meats, grilled vegetables and fresh cheeses. Its freshness and minerality also make it ideal as a refined aperitif. Serve at a temperature of 10-12°C.
