The Lugana San Benedetto of the Zenato winery is made with a local variety the Trebbiano di Lugana cultivated between the moraine amphitheater and the south of the Garda lake. The cultivation hamlets are Peschiera and Desenzano at 60-80 meters above the sea level. The soil is clay and the cultivation method used is the Guyot with a profit of 100 quintals. The density is 3700-4000 trees per hectare and the average age of the vineyards is 30 years. The manual grape harvest takes place at the end of September and the beginning of October. There is a soft pressing and a fermentation of 15-20 days in stainless steel tanks at 16-18°C. The refinement takes place in stainless steel tanks for 4-5 months and 2-3 months in bottle.
Characteristics of the white Lugana San Benedetto Zenato
It has a straw yellow color with green reflections. The smell is delicate, pleasant and wide. The taste is fresh, soft and pleasant too.
Suggested pairings with this white wine
It is perfect as appetizer, with fish starters or in cold courses. It must be served at 10°C in high and wide wine glasses.
