Since more than ten years Lageder cultivates with excellent method Lagrein on the soils of Magrè, that is quite unknown for the cultivation of this variety. The limestone sedimentation that characterize these lands is basic for the round and fruity character of this wine. The Latin name “Conus” refers to the shape of the sedimentation zone and to the slopes that host the vineyards. To produce Lagrein Riserva Conus, Lageder uses 100% Lagrein, coming from lands not far from Magrè. It is a red wine, aged 12 months in steel and in barriques. It is an extraordinary product that is the result of the cooperation between territory, vine variety and human effort.
Features of Lagrein Riserva Conus
The organoleptic aspect expresses a cherry red colour full of bright ruby red shades. The scent recalls intense aromas rich of fruits, plum, spices, liquorice and bitter chocolate, minerals and flowers. The taste is structured, powerful, rich, persistent, with a strong but refined tannin.
