This sensational wine praises the denomination red wine DOC. It is produced in the area of Isonzo in the district of Gorizia, Località Mainizza. It is composed by 100% Merlot cultivated on the plains around Isonzo river. Alluvial soils composed by clay and gravel. The plants are trained with traditional guyot method and produce 80 quintals per hectare. The manual harvest starts in the first decade of October. The wine making starts with the elimination of stalks and continues with pressing process and maceration, that lasts 7 days. The aging is managed in oak barrels for 12 months.

Intense and deep ruby red colour. Its perfume is intense and persistent, with hints of raspberry, blackberry and blueberry. The taste is pleasant, dry, soft and structured.

Perfect with red meat, roasted meat, poultry, aged cheeses. It has to be served at 18°C in a high, wide wine glass.
