“Radici” was produced for the first time in 1986. It is the result of a long and careful research, based on exposition and composition of the soils. Its structure and the aromatic concentration represent the main features of this prestigious wine that expresses “Irpinia”. This wine has the denomination Taurasi DOCG Riserva. It is produced with 100% Aglianico. Its vineyards are cultivated in the higher lands of the estate Montemarano, at 550 meters elevation and with a south-east exposition. The soils ate full of clay and limestone. Spur pruned training method on espalier, with 3500 stumps per hectare that are able to develop 45 quintals per hectare. Vineyards are 20 years old and the manual harvest is planned in the first decade of November, in order to reach a light over-maturation of the grapes that increases the quantity of sugar. The red wine making is developed at controlled temperature, with a long maceration. The aging is managed in French oak barriques for 30 months, followed by a further maturation of at least 36 months in the bottle.

The organoleptic aspect reveals an intense ruby red colour. The scent is characterized by a rich bouquet, complex. Intense and refined. It recalls tobacco, spices, cherry, wild berries, plum and balsamic hints. The taste is classy, with sensation of red fruits, marmalade, black pepper and liquorice.
