The vinification of 100% Sangiovese grapes alone. The origin is the classic product of the Folonari estate. With grapes from vineyards cultivated in the homonymous Estate of our property south west of Montalcino, on the historic side of Camigliano. Vinification involves alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 26-28ºC. Maceration on the skins for about 12 days. The wine ages for 1 year of which 6 months in 30/40 hl Slavonian oak barrels. Finally, the aging lasts for a minimum of 2 months in bottle.
Characteristics of this Rosso di Montalcino Doc
The appearance is presented with a beautiful ruby red. The bouquet has a fresh, crisp fruit of wild cherry, violet, iris and sweet spices. The taste in the mouth releases a good freshness, with smooth tannins, is elegant and velvety overall.
