This Moscadello di Montalcino is the most ancient wine produced in Montalcino already quoted by Francesco Redi in his "Bacco in Toscana". It is produced by Moscato grapes which are softly pressed and they ferment in a refrigerated place. The wine is sweet and sparkling with a natural re-fermentation characterized by floral aromas typical of the Moscato grapes. Its denomination is “Moscadello di Montalcino” and it is produced with 100% white Moscato grapes. The cultivation is located at 127 meters above the sea level. The cultivation is the cordon spur pruning and the picking is manual as for the tradition of the company. The wine making process is characterized by a cold fermentation is autoclaves and a natural re-fermentation.
