A wine that Tenuta Ornellaia of Tuscany imagines graceful and sweet, capable of twirling and dancing in the sky like a swallow. The vinification involves a blend composed of 67% Merlot grapes, 13% Sangiovese grapes, and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. The vinification was made separately for each blend, in small steel tanks respecting the different varietal characteristics during the fermentation phases. The alcoholic fermentation is followed by malolactic fermentation, always in steel tanks. The aging phase lasted 10 months, partly in barriques, previously used for Ornellaia, the other part in cement tanks, to obtain a perfect balance between tannic structure and fruity expression.
Le Volte dell'Ornellaia's features
On the organoleptic examination it has an intense ruby red appearance. The bouquet offers a sensation of black cherry, blackberry and ripe dark fruit, enriched with mineral and spicy tones. The tasting taste opens with the tannins are still very gritty, and communicate that they are ready to support the wine at least until the next decade. Excellent persistence and fruity closure.

A wine that perfectly matches the cuisine of the land, and the second courses in particular. Try it with duck honey stuffed. It should be served at room temperature of 18 ºC in a high and wide glass that allows oxygenation and diffusion of aromas.
