Chianti Riserva DOCG is one of the most renewed wines from Tuscany. Vine varieties used to produce this excellent wine are 90% Sangiovese, 10% 5% Black Cannaiolo and 5% Merlot, cultivated in the south of Chianti region. Grapes are hand-picked and maturation takes place at a controlled temperature. Wine is refined in oak barrels for 24 months, then bottle aging will follow for at least 9 months.
Characteristics of this red wine
It presents an intense ruby red colour. Fruity bouquet with a spicy aftertaste. Dry, balanced and slightly tannic in taste.
Recommended pairings while tasting this Chianti wine
It should be served in a wide crystal glass at a temperature of 16-18°C. Some minutes of decantation are enough to bring out its qualities. It can be paired with main courses, in particular those of Tuscany tradition, with red meat and aged cheeses.
