From a blend of Friulian grapes and Ribolla Gialla, this white wine from the Friulian winery Tunella is born. The grapes come from the hills of Eastern Friuli, the vineyards benefit from soils rich in marl and sandstone called "ponche". The harvest takes place in the second week of September: the grapes are hand-picked together and then macerated for 2 days before being pressed. The resulting must is then decanted cold and then eesere combined with yeasts: this begins fermentation and aging on the surface at a controlled temperature. After further bottle aging the product is ready to be marketed.
Characteristics of this Biancosesto of Tunella
It has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The olfactory profile is elegant, with notes of acacia, vanilla and fresh fruit. On the palate it is delicate, with great personality and a long finish.
Recommended pairings with this Friulian white wine
excellent wine to pair with dishes based on mushrooms, molluscs, shellfish and grilled meats. Serve at 8-10°C.
