MARCO FELLUGA
The Marco Felluga winery is a prestigious winery of Collio that carries the tradition of a dynasty of winemakers. It was founded in 1956 by Marco Felluga, who trained at the School of Oenology of Conegliano, wanted to continue the family business. He is responsible for the path of innovation and research for excellence in quality, making his winery a reference point for the entire Friuli territory. Today the winery is skillfully run by his son Roberto. The vineyard covers 50 hectares, spread over the four municipalities of Farra d'Isonzo, San Floriano del Collio, Oslavia and Cormòns. The mild climate and the typical sandstone and marly soil of this area are ideal for the cultivation of vines. The production of Marco Felluga winery has always been linked to the territory and, as such, is focused on white wines. In particular, Marco has started the project of elaborating aging whites that can evolve after years, finding very interesting mineral and ripe fruit complexities. This happens by selecting some reserves that come out several years after the harvest. The quality expressed by red wines, obtained both from native vines and from international varieties, which are characterized by their great structure and long aging capacity. Marco Felluga has also shown the will to be eco-sustainable in respect of natural principles. Marco Felluga’s wines undergo an aging in steel only and have complex and rich aromas, which recall the wonderful terroir of Collio.
