Manincor
Manincor is located in one of the most fascinating and productive areas of Trentino Alto Adige. An historical reality that was born in 1608, when Hieronimus Manincor received, due to his services in Austria, a portion of land near Caldaro Lake. After some generations, the property was bought in 1978 by the Counts Enzenberg, who are still the owners of the cellar with Muchael Goëss-Enzenberg. Till the ‘90s, Manincor sold its grapes to other wine makers. Michael decided to change, starting with the production of its own labels. Manincor has 50 hectares that surround the 7 estates owned by the family. Different composition of the soils, different elevations and different expositions allow the production of a rich line of wines. Mazzon, Panholzer and Manincor are the best areas for the production of red wines, especially Pinot Noir, Lagrein, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Lieben Aich and Leiten are perfect for Moscato Giallo and Sauvignon. All the vineyards are ruled by the biological systems, preserving the bio-diversity. Even in the cellar, the man-touch is reduced to the minimum levels. Each vine variety is treated separately, the spontaneous fermentations start with natural yeasts coming from the same vineyards, the bottling is set on the moon cycles and the oak that compose the barrels come directly from the woods near Manincor.
