CAPEZZANA
Capezzana is an historical winery located in Tuscany that is famous worldwide. The first proofs date back to 804. A parchment found in the archive of Florence documents that 1200 years before, in the property of the winery the cultivation of vines and olive trees was already diffused and aimed to the production of wine and oil. The family Contini Bonacossi has owned the property since 1920 and now, with their 4th generation, they continue the work did by the predecessors. Their main philosophy is to preserve the tradition. The family has always created the best Carmignano of the denomination characterized by a surprising longevity. Their reds are the best representors of Sangiovese, that nevertheless is often joined to a little percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon, called here “uva Francesca” and always considered as a local vine variety. The result are modern wines that are able to conquer the people who drink them.
