ALOIS LAGEDER
True synonym of excellence, Alois Lageder was able to demonstrate, through the years, how Trentino Alto Adige could express itself in terms of personality, elegance, territory. Their results come from ambition and the conscience that everything is linked together. This mentality found its realisation in the biodynamical conversion of the vineyards of the property. The winery was founded in 1823 and it is now managed by the 6th generation. The company stick out for its capacity to join together tradition and innovation: “quality is always the result of little details- tells Alois Lageder- in our manufacturing phases, we always try to find harmony between all the factors, by working in synergy with the nature”. It isn’ t strange that each wine is able to represent the features of its vineyard. In this region, in fact, all the different varieties of soils, micro-climates and expositions contribute to the individuality and unicity of their wines. The grapes harvested in the family property, about 50 hectares between Magrè, Termeno and Lago di Caldaro, are cultivated with biological, dynamic methods, certified Demeter. Moreover, the winery doesn’t manage only its lands, but collaborates with some vine growers coming from different zones of the region. In this way, the cultivated lands cover more than 110 hectares and about 1/4 of them are treated with biodynamical rules. In this context wines become ambassadors of their territories. Now white and reds are divided in 3 different levels of quality: Classic, Selection and “Masi”(estate).
