The wine of the Tramin Winery "Hexenbichler" is honored by the DOC certification which guarantees the controlled origin from the Sudtirol Alto Adige. The grapes used for the production of this wine are mostly Schiava with the addition of the Lagrein ones. The particular German word Hexenbichler means “the witches hill”. The grapes come from the same geographical area which is extended for 2,3 hectares located at 300-450 meters above the sea level. The soils are calcareous with clay presence. The vinification occurs by the fermentation and the steel aging.
