The Red wine Camerlano IGT is a prestigious red wine for aging. The cultivation area are the hills from Marche. The soil has a medium mixture with a good percentage of clay and sand. The blend used has different percentages of Merlot, Montepulciano and Cabernet Sauvignon. To these wonderful grapes, the Garofoli wanted to add some local grapes: the Montepulciano. Both the wine making processe and the maturation in oak barrels are made separately and they last one year. Then each time the technician decides the percentages of each vine to exalt the softness of the Merlot and Cabernet and the local personality of the Montepulciano. The resting period in bottle gives further refinement and elegance to the Camerlano IGT Rosso. The wine making process consists in destemming and soft pressing of the grapes, the fermentation on peels for 10-12 days, it follows the racking off and the malolactic fermentation. The aging period takes place in barrels for 12 months and 24 months in bottle.
Characteristics of the Rosso Marche "CAMERLANO" wine
It has an intense chromaticity almost garnet red. The smell is wine, persistent with a complex red ripe fruits aroma with soft and elegant tannins. On the palate it is soft and velvety. It has some jam and licorice roots aromas. It has a great persistence.
