Wine list | Petite Arvine |
This fantastic Valdostano white wine represents the maximum expression of local tradition and business knowledge in the vinification of the native grapes of Petite Arvine. Rich in scents and enveloping notes that greatly anticipate the taste. The Petite Arvine wine boasts the DOC certification that guarantees the Valle D'Aosta Controlled Denomination of Origin. The blend used for its vinification is 100% Petite Arvine directly deriving from the native Aosta Valley lineage. Among the many awards that this wine is able to boast, we highlight the very important "three glasses" red shrimp. The cultivation area of the vineyards extends for 25 hectares along the orographic axis of the Dora Baltea, in the municipalities of Saint Pierre, Aymavilles, Gressan, Sarre, Aosta and Saint Christophe. The territory is characterized by a high fragmentation of the vineyards and high planting densities of up to 9,000 feet / ha, due to the slopes of the land, whose moraine and sandy soils are the ideal environment for the cultivation of numerous native varieties and international. The alpine climate strongly influences the organoleptic characteristics of local wines. In fact, the grapes, harvested late, undergo strong temperature changes due to the autumnal temperature range that reaches even + 22 ° C between day and night. This phenomenon, typical of mountain areas, favors the formation of aromatic precursors in the bunch, which considerably enrich the aromatic component of the wines. The harvest takes place manually at the end of September. The vinification involves the soft pressing of the berries, and the subsequent fermentation which lasts for at least 12 days, where the wine is placed in stainless steel tanks kept at a controlled temperature of 18 ° C. Finally the aging that lasts 1 or maximum 2 months "sur lies", characterized by continuous bâtonnages.
