It is made with 100% Merlot grapes. The production area is “Aymavilles” with the average vineyards of 25 years old. The soil is moraine and sandy with a North-west exposition and with very strong slopes. It is at 650 meters above the sea level. The surface is extended for 5500 square meters and it is cultivate with the trellised and the guyot method. The density is 7500 trees per hectare with a profit of 65 quintals per hectare. The grapes harvest takes place in October and then the grapes are put in steel tanks for 12-18 days and it follows the 1 year of refinement in French oak barrels of 300 liters. It has a charged, bright and deep ruby red color. The smell is rich of black berries aromas like blackberry and blueberry jams with violet and rose flower aromas. The taste is seducing with spicy aromas and a silky and elegant end made of toasted cacao hints.

It is perfect with cold cuts, red and white meats and the braised little goat or lamb. It is perfect with the orange duck too and the chicken with oranges and lemons. It must be served at 16-18°C in a wide wine glass.
