From the company's vineyards located in Leverano and Salice Salentino near Lecce, this red wine from the Salento Conti Zecca winery comes from Negroamaro and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The manual harvest leads to the harvesting of the best bunches which are then subjected to de-stemming, soft pressing and then maceration for about 15 days at a controlled temperature. The fermentation takes place in steel while the aging requires a stay in French wooden barriques and subsequently in oak barrels.
Characteristics of this Apulian wine
The organoleptic examination shows an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections: the olfactory notes recall red berried fruits, spices and hints of licorice. On the palate it strikes for its good persistence.
