The name of this wine recalls one of the most famous rivers of Italy, Brenta. “Brentino” is produced with 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, cultivated on the hills with the best exposition of the area of Breganza, in the north of Vicenza. Talking about volcanic hills, the soils here are characterized by minerality. The manual harvest is supported by a careful selection of the bunches. The fermentation is managed in steel to preserve the freshness of the wine. The aging is managed both in steel and in barriques made of French oak for one year.
Features of this red wine by Maculan Winery
This sensational wine of Veneto shows an intense and deep red colour. Its scent is wide and fruity, with light sensation of wood, due to the aging in barrique. The taste is dry, structured, balanced and persistent.
